Enabling / disabling the Desktop Mode Print
Modified on: Mon, 3 Dec, 2012 at 11:26 AM
TouchTop defaults to the desktop mode modality. In which the Canvas replaces the desktop windows, therefore it's the awlays on the background, while the Interface layer is always the top window.
In this modality, depicted in the following picture, the user can perform normal activities with windows and other applications.
The window taskbar is awlays visible (if not hidden by choice).
Desktop Mode Off
The desktop mode can be disabled editing the TouchTop.xml file found in c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\.TouchTop folder.
You can disable it setting the <desktopmode> property to 0.
This way the TouchTop window will behave normally, hiding the other windows when focused.
Note: since the standard modality will start fullscreen, the TouchTop window will also hide the windows taskbar.
This behaviour will be changed in next versions.
